Natchaya "Jade" Luangphairin

Teaching

Instruction, workshops, and guest lectures in water research and policy.

Jade has taught undergraduate- and graduate-level lessons covering analytical methods for water-quality testing, navigation and analysis of federal environmental databases, introductory R programming and statistical analysis, and advanced multilevel modeling. The following details the courses and workshops in which she has served as an instructor or guest lecturer at USF and national conferences, teaching utility operators, researchers, engineers, consultants, and students.

  • Workshop Presenter: "From Data to Decision: A Framework for Policy Analysis Using Integrated EPA Datasets," AWWA IMTR Committee Workshop. Accepted for presentation at the 2026 WQTC Conference, Memphis, TN.
  • Guest Teaching Assistant: ENV2061 Engineering Sustainable & Healthy Environments — Tragedy or Cooperation of the Commons Simulation (Fall 2024/2026)
  • Guest Lecturer: ENV6666 Aquatic Chemistry — Safe Drinking Water Act & USEPA Databases and Regulations (Spring 2022/2023, Fall 2024/2025/2026). View content
  • Guest Teaching Assistant: ENV6666 Aquatic Chemistry — Aquatic Chemistry Titration Lab (Fall 2024/2025)
  • Graduate Teaching Assistant: ENV4004L Environmental Engineering Lab — Lab Techniques (Sept–Dec 2023)
  • Instructor: DW-TAPS — Intro to R for Statistical Analysis and Multi-level Modeling Workshop Series (Jan 2024)

Mentorship

Meet my mentees.

Alongside coursework and workshops, mentoring undergraduate researchers is one of the ways Jade teaches. See the full mentorship record — leadership roles, outreach, and peer review — on the Experience page, and photos of the mentees in action in the Gallery.
